The purpose of the Stewardship Committee is to enable and encourage us to use our God-given gifts to the glory of God.
Besides our tithes and offerings some opportunities within the congregation include:
Opportunities in a worship setting:
Perform as an Usher, to act as an usher.
Serve as Lector, read appointed Scriptural Lessons for the day.
Join the Altar Guild, prepare the Altar for Worship Services.
Be a Greeter, welcome friends and visitors to services.
Teach Sunday School teach our children Biblical lessons.
Conduct a Bible Study, strengthen your faith and others with
the inspiring words of God and the important lessons he has for us to learn.
Other Opportunities to serve include:
"The Dove", help produce our monthly newsletter
Discipleship Committee to further God's Kingdom in our neighborhood, city, and nation.
Fellowship Committee to encourage caring and loving relationships within the congregation
through recreational activities to strengthen bonds among the membership.
Cradle Roll includes infants and children to 3 years of age, encouraging parents and helping prepare
children to take their place here at Zion as they enter Sunday School.
Sonshine Committee sends special greetings to members of the congregation as they celebrate birthdays,
anniversaries; sympathies and caring words are also lovingly shared as our members face the challenges of illness,
difficult times or the passing of a loved one.
Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
Helping Hands helps prepare meals for the Brother Francis and the Claire House shelter ministries.
Youth Group, interact with our youth in a vibrant christian setting.
Prayers and Squares, a fellowship ministry of quilting for World Relief
Pioneer Home , participate in services at the Alaska Pioneer Home, reaching out to our senior citizens.
Men's Bible Breakfast, join with other men on Saturday mornings.
The Stewardship Committee looks forward to your participation in the Life of the Congregation; opportunities to serve the Lord abound within Zion!!!!
